Aiming for Another Top 10 Finish

August 3, 2001

After 12 holes in round two, K.J. Choi found himself in higher altitude, not only in Colorado, but also on the leaderboard at The International.

As seen in the picture above, this marks the first time K.J. has ever been highlighted on the front page of PGATOUR.COM during a tournament.

Although he added 7-solid points (with 5 birdies and 3 bogeys) in round 2 to go to +17 after the first two rounds, he was overtaken by a slew of players later in the afternoon, dropping him back into a tie for 14th spot. Tom Pernice Jr. currently leads at +24.

Choi, however, has positioned himself well going into the weekend and set his crosshairs on yet another Top 10 Finish this year, his fourth to be exact. A strong finish, if not already this week, would guarantee him a spot in the Top 70 for the upcoming PGA Championship.

This week has the makings of another exciting weekend of golf. So get the chips and beer ready!

K.J.'s Tee Time for Round 3 on Saturday:
