Air Canada Championship

August 29, 2001

This week's Air Canada Championship starts off the last leg of the PGA Tour, known as the Fall Finish presented by Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

This means that by the end of this finish, the Top 30 on the moneylist will be able to play in The Tour Championship from November 1 -4. The next 95 players on the list will get to keep their PGA Tour cards for next year. And the rest will have to go back to Q-school.

Unlike last year, K.J.'s stellar performance this year has already earned him a spot on the 2002 PGA Tour. Currently, he ranks 66th on the PGA Moneylist.

The PGA Tour takes us to the scenic landscapes of British Columbia, Canada where many of the players are using a different means of transportation to get to the course from nearby Vancouver...via helicopter.

Choi's best performance last year came here at the Air Canada Championship, placing him in a tie for 8th on the Ridge Course at the Northview Golf & Country Club. He shot 68s in all four rounds and 12-under par for the tournament. Let's see if he can better that this week.
